Gemma has deep expertise in climate, nature, ethical trading and human rights. She also has broad business insights and experiences in strategy development, transformation and change management throughout her career spanning across financial services, consumer goods and retail, currently Group Sustainability Director at Tesco with previous roles of Group sustainable sourcing and human rights director at Danone, Sustainability Director at Kingfisher and Chief Operating Officer at IKEA southeast Asia.

Having grew up in a rural town in southwest China, she now lives in Nottingham with her beloved teenage daughter and a miniature schnauzer. Alongside being a dedicated mother, she wants to devote her time and career in helping organisations become future ready by truly embedding sustainability in its strategy and practices. As a fellow of Royal Society of Arts (RSA), Gemma champions its vision of ‘a world where everyone can fulfil their potential and contribute to more resilient, rebalanced and regenerative futures”
